Role Overview

The Site Development Intern will support the Site Development team in coordinating and monitoring Breadfast’s site projects. The role involves assisting with project planning, execution, and communication between design, technical office, site teams, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Scheduling

Assist in maintaining and updating the Master Project Schedule for ongoing projects.

Support in sequencing project tasks with clear dependencies.

Apply buffers for critical lead times and regulatory approvals

2. Coordination & Communication

Participate in regular meetings with the Site Team, Design Team, and Technical Office.

Support in preparing and sharing progress updates, priorities, and milestones with stakeholders (e.g., BU Ops, landlords, Finance).

3. Monitoring & Reporting

Review and compile daily site progress reports.

Assist in comparing actual progress against the project baseline in the Gantt chart.

Help identify and report project delays or variances.

4. Risk & Issue Management

Support in tracking project risks, issues, and mitigation actions.

Coordinate with the Design and Technical Office when revisions or substitutions are needed.

Anticipate blockers/bottlenecks (delayed permits, delayed payments and extra-long lead items).

5. Budget & Cost Control

Assist in tracking project costs and expenditures in coordination with Finance and Technical office.

Help identify potential budget variances and propose corrective actions.

Approve variations within delegated authority or escalate for management approval.

6. Follow up Activities
Attend weekly project update meetings to align on timelines and resolve issues.
Support in stakeholder alignment meetings to confirm operational readiness.

Participate in post-project “lessons learned” sessions for process improvement.

Who You Are:

A student or recent graduate in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Eager to learn and gain exposure to site development and project management.
