Role Objectives:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be overseeing financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making for Breadfast Pay business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage Breadfast Pay’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
Handle tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax, ensuring accurate and timely filing.
Conduct financial reconciliations, including bank, supplier, and intercompany accounts.
Maintain and improve internal financial controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Assist in external and internal audits, preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Monitor cash flow and financial health, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on changes in Egyptian tax laws, IFRS, and fintech industry regulations to ensure compliance.
Evaluate and implement financial systems and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for business planning and strategic decisions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting.
Experience in the fintech industry is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, Egyptian tax laws, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
