Role Objectives:
The Chief Accountant holds a significant role within an organization, acting as the main pillar of the accounting department and responsible for overseeing all the accounting practices and ensuring that financial records are accurate. Their expertise in financial management helps in guiding the company’s financial decisions, making them an indispensable part of the team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Oversee financial reporting and closing processes for the organization
● Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
● Manage external relationships with auditors, and other financial institutions
● Delivering FS (Financial Statements) variance analysis
● Oversee daily operations of the accounting department
● Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
● Ensure accurate and timely closing of the books
● Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
● Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
● Coordinate with auditors and manage the audit process
● Maintain general ledger and supervise journal entries and accounts reconciliations
● Assist in strategic financial planning and risk management
● Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure data integrity and faithful presentation
● Lead, mentor, and evaluate performance of accounting staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
● Bachelor's degree in finance or accountancy
● 8+ years of proven experience (4+ in general accounting)
● Professional certification is a must (ACCA or IFRS diploma)
● Excellent communication skills
● Strong analytical, and computer skills
● Attention to detail.
